107. Oprah Super Soul Guest, Kris Carr's Courageous Journey. (Re-Release)
Thursday Mar 06, 2025
Thursday Mar 06, 2025
I first saw Kris on The Oprah Winfrey Show years ago, long before I was diagnosed with cancer.
Kris has been living with stage four incurable cancer for twenty-one years. She has tumors inside of her body, and yet she can still love and appreciate her body.
Do you struggle to love your body?
I think about how I've had a love/hate relationship with my body throughout my life.
That's a long time without being in a constant state of appreciation for the body God gave me.
Kris told me she is a difficult person and has to work to approach life from a place of love—love for other people and love for herself, her whole self, tumors, and all.
I don't have to tell you how much strength it takes to face each day with LOVE, all while having an incurable form of cancer.
If there's one podcast you listen to this week, this is it.
About Kris Carr
Kris Carr is a beacon of hope, resilience, and wellness leadership. As a New York Times bestselling author and esteemed wellness advocate, Kris Carr has defied the odds, thriving with stage IV cancer for over two decades.

It's happened...I'm putting beef tallow on my face, and my skin looks lush, and it doesn't smell like a hamburger :)
I've seen the TikTok videos about beef tallow. I avoided trying it because it sounded like I'd be putting grease on my face.
Enough people asked me about it, so I started reading more information and trying out various tallows.
There was one company that stood out to me.
I feel like I hit a home run with the brand Toups and Co.
I first heard of this brand on a friend's podcast (Holistic Hilda with the Weston A Price Foundation). She interviewed the founder, Emily Toups. She was a mom looking for a solution to her child's skin issues. She was frustrated with the lack of progress with drugstore and prescription meds, so she reached out to a local farmer for tallow.
The rest, as they say, is history. Her daughter is healed, and my skin looks great, haha!
Thank you, Toups Family, for making such excellent products and offering my community a 15% discount.
I'm currently using:
Frankincense Skim Balm
Blue Tansy Body Oil
The Nourishing Skin Care Set (this includes skin balm, body oil, tinted lip chap, and a tallow bar—and it's on sale!).
Deodorant - it really works!

106. Easy Work-Arounds to Improve Your Health! Part 2
Thursday Feb 27, 2025
Thursday Feb 27, 2025
HELP!
Reading labels takes a lot of time, and even with a science degree, I have a hard time figuring out what's good and what's bad.
If I'm struggling, I guess you are as well.
Food companies must convince you that their product is the best item on the supermarket shelves. Their marketing message is on the front, and the truth is on the back.
For example, I picked up a package of high-protein chips at Costco. The front of the package said, "made with the highest quality ingredients." Well, that's great. I flipped the bag over and saw they use canola, sunflower, and safflower oils. These oils are highly inflammatory AND highly processed, NOT GREAT.
I hate to say it, but you'll need to assume that most food companies are not going to tell you the truth.
It reminds me of that movie with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keeton, Something's Gotta Give. In it, he tells her, "I've always told you some version of the truth," and she responds, "The Truth Doesn't Have Versions!"
Unfortunately, there are many versions of the truth in the food world.
If you'd like some quick food hacks, my podcast guest, Keith Bishop, has plenty of them!
Keith is the guest that always shocks me, and he definitely did with today's episode. It's a shorter episode with loads of takeaways.

Thursday Feb 20, 2025
I don't know about you, but I don't like being told what to do.
Lately, online, I feel like the majority of the "wellness influencers" are yelling at me and telling me that most of my daily habits are going to hurt me.
Life is challenging enough!
How about this, can we move a bit slower? Maybe focus on changing a couple of habits or items a week instead of making me feel bad about eating out or buying a drink in an aluminium can.
This is why I loved my conversation with today's guest, Keith Bishop. He's a clinical nutritionist, cancer fighting coach and retired pharmacist.
This guy knows his research. In fact, he often shocks me with his knowledge! What I love about him is that while he tells me the truth about what's potentially harmful in the environment, he also PRESENTS SOLUTIONS of how to mitigate the impact.
I want the truth and easy solutions for a healthier body.
If you're frustrated like me, listen to today's podcast for Keith's simple life hacks to improve your environment, even if you eat out often or are just downright confused by all of the detoxing info out there!

Today, we're talking about a topic that might make you squirm in your seat—parasites and worms! These creepy crawlies can hitch into our bodies through contaminated water, food, and less-than-sanitary conditions and wreak havoc.
Now, I'll be the first to admit that when my guest Kim Rogers, also known as “The Worm Queen” of TikTok, reached out to me, I hesitated. Who wants to know about the creatures lurking inside us, right? But knowledge is power and if understanding more about parasites and worms could help me stay healthy, it’s time for an uncomfortable conversation.
We talked about the not-so-glamorous aspects of bodily functions—yes, that means we went into the topic of pooping quite a bit. But beyond the initial discomfort, Kim shares some invaluable insights into detox pathways and what she calls the three P's: peeing, perspiration, and, you guessed it, pooping.
So, buckle up, folks. Let’s learn all about these little buggers - and how to protect ourselves from them!
About Dr. Kim Rogers
Kim Rogers AKA “The Worm Queen” journey reads like the tale of a true pioneer in holistic healing. With nearly two decades of experience in the allopathic medical field, Kim honed her skills and expertise, becoming a powerhouse in healthcare management, radiography, and medical specialties. Her academic prowess, including a Bachelor of Science with a focus on Health Services Management & HR, and an Associate of Occupational Studies with a major in Radiography and a minor in Psychology, marked her as a standout achiever.
However, despite her extensive background and immersion in traditional medicine, Kim found herself at a crossroads when her health began to deteriorate despite the conventional approaches she knew so well. Her pivotal moment came with her first experience using Paraguard for a parasite cleanse, an event she openly documented on TikTok. The viral sensation that followed showcased her remarkable results and ignited a global movement of individuals seeking alternatives to the cyclical frustrations of mainstream medicine.
Two years of rigorous research, experimentation, and personal cleansing experiences culminated in the creation of Parafy—a comprehensive protocol designed to offer individuals the most effective, supportive, and successful path to parasite cleansing.
Kim's tireless dedication to uncovering holistic solutions and her unwavering commitment to educating and uplifting others have solidified her status as a trailblazer in the natural health and wellness community.

103. Don't Ignore The Signs! Part 2
Thursday Feb 06, 2025
Thursday Feb 06, 2025
Have you ever met someone and the hairs on the back of your neck stood up?
Have you ever "felt" like something would happen, and then it did?
I was on a business trip a few years ago, and as I got into my rental car at night in a big city, I felt a voice say, "Lock the door now!"
For a split second, I tried to "reason" with the voice so I could put my handbag down and put on my seatbelt. Well, I quickly locked the door at about the same time some very scary-looking guy was trying to get into my car!
My big takeaway- listen to that still, small voice inside; it will never steer you wrong.
In today's episode with Dr. Sarah Trask, we discuss that still-small voice regarding our health. Is there a reason people get sick that has almost NOTHING to do with how they eat and how much they exercise?
You will be surprised by some of her answers and the simple tips to lower your risk of getting any illness.
I learned a lot from Sarah today and became emotional several times during our conversation.

102. Can the body heal itself? Part 1
Thursday Jan 30, 2025
Thursday Jan 30, 2025
One thing I never considered during my experience with cancer was the body's ability to heal itself.
Although I was a holistic nutritionist, my focus was primarily on food. When it came to healing, it was best left to medical professionals. After all, how could the body heal without drugs or medical intervention?
Honestly, if someone had told me to focus on healing my body by getting more sleep, eating organic foods, spending time in nature, managing my stress, and maintaining a spiritual practice, I would have thought, "Sure, that might help me feel better," but would it contribute to my healing?
Today's guest, Dr. Sarah Trask, taught me about homeopathy.
She shared with me that when she was in homeopathy school, she contracted food poisoning during class; she was nauseous and was about to leave the class. The teacher used her food poisoning as a "teachable moment" for the students. Her teacher gave her a homeopathic treatment, and within minutes, she was better.
She was sold on the power of homeopathy.
Sarah's podcast today features some astounding stories of healing. I had so many takeaways, and I hope you do, too!

101. My Key Takeaways from 2024
Thursday Jan 23, 2025
Thursday Jan 23, 2025
As hard as I try, I still get caught up in "being busy."
What does this mean? I'm asking myself the same question!
It means I want to achieve and accomplish much each day. However, I often do this at the expense of my personal care.
For example, my morning routine is sacred to me. I get up, read my Bible, write in my gratitude journal, get outside, and let's not forget the key component - DRINK MY COFFEE!
In January, I committed to lifting more weights to gain more muscle.
There's a class that's offered at 7 am. I love the class, but now my morning routine is out of whack, and subsequently, the rest of my day is a bit wonky.
I've gone back to prioritizing my morning routine and exercising later in the day (I don't love exercising later, but my morning routine is pivotal for productivity). Here's a link to one of my favorite breathing experts, Dr. James Nestor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6yAY1oZUOA
I have two more surprising takeaways for you.

100. Menopause: Why Sex Hurts and How to Fix It. Part 2
Thursday Jan 16, 2025
Thursday Jan 16, 2025
Hearing the words, "You have cancer," had to be the biggest shock of my life.
My oncologist advised me to go off of all hormone treatment immediately.
So, within 48 hours, I had a cancer diagnosis, hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, and painful sex.
I'm a pretty happy and upbeat person, but the combination of this diagnosis, along with all of these other important things, was almost too much.
Today's guest, Dr. Corinne Menn, believes that our treatment of women in menopause can be downright inhumane.
She explained that there are better ways to move women off of hormones during cancer and that there rarely needs to be an immediate change.
We also talked about the importance of having a positive and enjoyable sexual relationship. She was saying that so many of her patients have given up on sex due to pain.
Dr. Menn explained the power of vaginal estrogen and how this one change can result in significant changes.
Listen to the episode to learn how to Make Sex Great Again!

When I began detoxing my life after being diagnosed with cancer, I felt overwhelmed and confused. I thought I was already making good health choices, but the more I researched, the more I discovered that small changes could lead to significant improvements. For instance, switching from tea bags to loose-leaf tea can help prevent additional microplastics from accumulating in my body. These plastic particles can affect my hormones and contribute to inflammation. This was such a simple swap! I was so encouraged that I started to make more simple swaps. And now, I have an Amazon Store listing many of my favorite detox tips!Click here to check to see my simple swaps.

99. Menopause: Why Aren't We Doing More to Help Women Feel Better? Part 1
Thursday Jan 09, 2025
Thursday Jan 09, 2025
Let's talk about menopause.
When I was in my twenties, most of my nutrition clients were in their 50s. I would talk to them about hot flashes, low libido, and weight gain and "what they could do about it," exercise more, eat less, you know, the drill.
I remember a few of my clients laughing at me and saying, "Oh, honey, in thirty years, give us a call and let us know what you think of the advice you're giving us!"
Fast forward to 2020, when I was forced into INSTANT menopause after my breast cancer diagnosis, and oh goodness, I'm mortified by my lack of compassion and understanding of menopause in my twenties.
Today's guest is Dr. Corinne Menn. She's a menopause expert, a world-renowned OB-GYN, and a twenty-four-year breast cancer survivor.
Dr. Menn explained that a recent study discovered that only 7% of ob/gyns were comfortable talking to their patients about menopause.
WHAT?!?Who is supposed to help us?
How about our quality of life, including sleep and weight gain? Not to mention the higher risk of heart disease.
And should we talk about sex? I think we should.

And now, I have an Amazon Store listing many of my favorite detox tips!

How often do you hear people say, "I'm so stressed!"? I admit that I find myself saying it at least a few times a week.
Today's podcast guest is Kerstin Lindquist, a QVC host and stress expert. After witnessing her mother battle dementia and experience "black spots" on her brain that doctors attributed to stress, Kerstin researched and identified 20 strategies—ranging from simple to complex—to help reorganize your life.
I can't wait for you to hear her suggestions—one of them took me only a few seconds to implement, and I’m already feeling less stressed. Woot woot!

Air Doctor
I’ve been using the Air Doctor air purifier for almost a year, and I absolutely love it!
I first heard about it from Dr. Mark Hyman, and even though it was a bit of a splurge compared to what I usually spend, I’m so glad I made the investment.
Every time I change the filter and see all the gunk it collects, it just makes me smile knowing it’s doing such a great job keeping my air clean!
